There is something about contrast that creates a sense of drama. In my mind and through my eye, the light matters most when surrounded by darkness. The light landing on her shoulder, or falling off her back into the darkness, really pleases me. We are still in the beginnings of learning the studio, and how to capture the things we imagine.
